Laos

Apres avoir passe la nuit dans une petite cabane (et avoir eu notre premier repas sans riz gluant depuis 2 jours), nous sommes alles chercher les elephants dans la jungle de bon matin pour les ramener au camp.

After having spent the night in a little cabain (and had our first meal with no sticky rice involved), we went looking for the elephants in the jungle to take them back to the camp.

Puis autre histoire: il faut les monter!

But riding them was another story!

Une fois sur le dos de nos elephants, nous nous dirigeons vers la riviere et pendant que ces enormes animaux s'enfoncent dans l'eau, nous faisons de meme... Absolument magique et juste inoubliable.

Once on the back of our elephants, we're heading to the river and while these massive animals are going down in the water, we're doing the same... Absolutely magical and just unforgettable.

Bon apres c'est un peu parti en cacahuete entre Gearoid tenant une merde d'elephant dans sa main, la bataille d'eau, les acrobaties et les sauts depuis les dos de nos elephants... Eux, ils etaient tout contents d'entendre tant de rires et d'avoir tout le monde prenant soin d'eux. Ils ont meme participe a la bataille d'eau

Well, after we kind of lost control of the situation between Gearoid holding an elephant shit, water fight, acrobatics and jumps from the elephants' back... They were all happy out to hear all these laughs and to have everyone taking care of them. They even participated to the water fight

Il faut le dire, ca a ete SUPER dur de les laisser partir, ce fut une experience tellement incroyable!
Mais heureusement qu'au programme on avait un truc sympatoche: pecher nos poissons pour le dejeuner
Un qui tient le filet depuis la rive pendant que le bateau tire sur l'autre extremite en essayant d'effrayer les poissons pour qu'ils restent attaches au filet. Ca se passe comme ca chez MdDonalds.

We have to say, it was really tough to let them leave, it was such an incredible experience!
But fortunately there was a cool thing next on the programme: catching our own fish for lunch
One who holds the net from the bank while the boat pulls on the other extremity and tries to scare fishes so that they get caught in the net. I'm lovin it.

Bon voila les amis, il est temps de revenir sur Luang Prabeng (ah oui on a oublie de preciser que c'est de la qu'on est partis faire le trekk). Quelle experience!

Ok guys, it's time to go back to Luang Prabeng (oh yes we forgot to precise that it's from there we went trekking). What an experience!
