After a long time waiting for it, we finally took the train to Kochi (south of Kerala)!
We left Goa at 6pm on wednesday (the 17th of march) and arrived on thursday morning, around 10.

Here is Gearoid getting ready to sleep

And Claire, already settled.

The train journey was more than easy, chatting with Indian people and fellow travelers, waiting for the guy selling "chai" (sweet and milky tea), reading away and sleeping comfortably.

Here is the corridor of our carriage, with curtains keeping privacy between each dorm.

After 16 hours of train, we arrived in Kochi (more precisely Ernakulam, because Kochi is a name for the 3 of different "islands" of the city).
And here we had our first rickshaw experience :)

A man goes to a vet with his cross eyed dog. The vet lifts up the dog and looks into his eyes for a moment, he then sighs and says, I'm sorry but he will have to be put down. The owner, distraught, asks Why? surely the eyes are not that serious,,, no says the vet, he is just so heavy.
